Built from powdered metal and coated with titanium nitride (TiN), it delivers extended tool life and reduced friction when threading through heat treatable hardened steel, high tensile steel, and tool steel. The tap features five right-hand flutes with a 40-degree helix angle and a fast flute style, which helps evacuate chips efficiently in blind hole conditions. It is sized for 1-8 UNC threads and conforms to a 2B class of fit with H6 and H7 thread limits. Licensed machinists, tool and die makers, and CNC operators are the typical end users.
