The GUHRING 9038990007500 is a solid carbide micro drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding industrial and machining applications. Measuring 0.75 mm in diameter with a 38 mm overall length, this bit features a TiAlN coating that extends tool life under high-heat cutting conditions. The 140-degree faceted point with web thinning reduces entry force and improves centering accuracy. It is suited for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and precision hand-operated fixtures where tight-tolerance hole production is required. Machinists and tooling specialists are the primary installers and users of this bit.
This micro drill bit is rated for use in cast iron and steel workpieces, corresponding to material codes K and P. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and 6.88 mm maximum drilling depth make it well suited for shallow, precise holes in ferrous materials. The straight-cylindrical shank at 3.00 mm diameter allows straightforward chuck mounting in standard collet or drill chuck setups. It is applicable in production environments, tool rooms, and precision fabrication shops where small-diameter hole tolerances are critical.
Designed for use in cast iron and steel workpieces (material codes K and P). Part of the GUHRING Series 3899 micro drill line. Compatible with standard collet chucks and drill chucks accepting a 3.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation and use of this bit should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with CNC or manual drilling equipment. Ensure the machine spindle and chuck are powered down and fully stopped before loading or removing the bit. Verify chuck runout is within acceptable tolerance before use, as micro-diameter tools are sensitive to runout-induced breakage. Coolant-through is not supported on this tool, so appropriate surface or flood cooling methods should be applied externally when drilling steel at higher feeds and speeds.
