The GUHRING 9037410085000 is a single-end square end mill engineered for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. Built from solid carbide with a FIREX finish, this tool delivers high wear resistance and thermal stability at elevated cutting speeds. It features a 0.335-inch (8.50 mm) cutting diameter, a 3-flute spiral configuration with a 45-degree helix angle, and a 0.625-inch length of cut. The straight cylindrical shank matches the cutter diameter at 0.335 inches, conforming to h6 tolerance. This end mill is centercutting capable, allowing plunge entry, and is suited for right-hand cutting with right-hand flute orientation. It is part of the GUHRING Series 3741.
This end mill is designed for milling cast iron, stainless steel, and steel workpieces, making it applicable across a wide range of production and maintenance machining environments. Its solid carbide construction and FIREX coating make it appropriate for high-speed finishing and semi-finishing passes on hardened and abrasion-resistant materials. The regular length type and compact overall length of approximately 67.00 mm (2.638 inches) suit it for applications where rigidity and reduced deflection are priorities, such as die and mold work, aerospace component machining, and general precision part production.
Designed for use with primary workpiece materials including cast iron (K), stainless steel (M), and steel (P), with secondary suitability for non-ferrous metals (N) and superalloys (S) as classified by material code. Part of the GUHRING Series 3741 end mill family.
Installation and use of this end mill should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with CNC or manual milling equipment. Secure the tool in a compatible collet or end mill holder rated for the 0.335-inch shank diameter, ensuring proper seating depth and clamping torque per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify spindle runout before commencing cuts, as excess runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling.
