The GUHRING 9036890050000 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. This single-end, six-flute tool features a 0.197-inch (5.00 mm) cutting diameter and a 0.512-inch length of cut. The 45-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. A FIREX coating provides enhanced hardness and thermal resistance, extending tool life when machining hard and abrasive materials. The straight cylindrical shank measures 0.236 inches (6.00 mm) in diameter with an h6 tolerance, ensuring secure toolholder fit. Installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in CNC and manual milling operations.
This end mill is suited for milling ferrous metals, stainless steels, titanium alloys, and other challenging workpiece materials, corresponding to ISO material codes K, M, P, S, H, and N. The center-cutting design allows plunge entry, giving the tool flexibility in ramping and interpolation strategies. With a right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute, it is compatible with standard spindle rotation on conventional vertical and horizontal milling machines. The regular length type and compact overall length of 57.00 mm make it well-suited for close-tolerance work in confined setups.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore collet chucks and end mill holders accepting a 6.00 mm (0.236-inch) shank diameter. Suited for ISO material groups K, M, P, S, H, and N workpiece materials including cast iron, steel, stainless, titanium, and hard materials.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or toolholder to the recommended grip length and torque the retention hardware per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with an indicator before production cutting, as excessive runout accelerates wear on carbide tooling and degrades surface finish.
