The GUHRING 9031920158700 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining applications. Part of the GUHRING Series 3192, this single-end tool features a 0.625 inch cutting diameter, a 0.625 inch length of cut, and a 5 inch overall length. The 4-flute spiral geometry runs a 30-degree helix angle with right-hand flute direction and right-hand cut orientation. A FIREX physical vapor deposition coating provides enhanced heat resistance and extended tool life when cutting ferrous and hard materials. Shank diameter is 0.625 inch with a straight cylindrical profile and h6 tolerance. This end mill is centercutting and suited for slotting, profiling, and plunging operations.
This end mill is engineered for use in steel, cast iron, and hard material applications, making it appropriate for job shops, production floors, and toolroom environments. The long-length classification and 3 inch reach length allow access to deeper features without sacrificing rigidity. It is typically installed in CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and manual knee mills using an appropriate collet or end mill holder matched to the 0.625 inch shank. Primary workpiece material codes P, K, and H indicate suitability for steel, cast iron, and hardened materials respectively.
Designed for use in standard 0.625 inch collets, end mill holders, or Weldon-style holders on CNC and manual milling machines. Suited for primary workpiece materials including steel, cast iron, and hard materials as specified by material codes P, K, and H.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or removing the tool from its holder. Use a holder torqued to the toolholder manufacturer specifications and verify minimal runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and coating type.
