The GUHRING 9031660063500 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling across a wide range of workpiece materials. With a 0.250-inch mill diameter, a 1.625-inch length of cut, and a 4-inch overall length, this extra-long tool delivers extended reach in deep-cavity and contour milling applications. The 4-flute geometry supports both roughing and finishing passes in a single tool. A FIREX coating provides elevated heat and wear resistance, extending tool life in demanding cutting environments. The 30-degree right-hand helix promotes efficient chip evacuation, and the ultra-fine grain carbide substrate maintains edge integrity under high-load conditions. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, aerospace, and industrial machining install and apply this tool.
This ball end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, high-temperature alloys, and hardened materials. The extra-long configuration makes it appropriate for deep slot milling, profiling, and 3D contouring where standard-length tools cannot reach. It runs as a single-end tool in right-hand cutting direction. The 1/4-inch shank diameter fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders common to vertical machining centers and CNC routers. This tool is not center-cutting and is not designed for plunge entry.
Designed for use with workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, high-temperature alloys, and hardened materials. Fits standard 1/4-inch collet chucks and end mill holders on CNC machining centers.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the 1/4-inch shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque to the machine spindle specification per the toolholder manufacturer guidelines. This tool is not center-cutting — do not use for direct plunge entry. Inspect the cutting edge and coating condition before each use and replace the tool at the first sign of edge wear to prevent workpiece damage.
