The GUHRING 9031530027800 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and high-strength materials. Part of the GUHRING Series 3153, it features a 7/64 inch (0.1094 inch decimal) cutting diameter with a 3/8 inch length of cut and a 1-1/2 inch overall length. The FIREX coating provides elevated heat and wear resistance, making it well suited to demanding cutting conditions. With four spiral flutes and a 30-degree helix angle, this end mill delivers efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. It is centercutting, allowing direct plunge entry into the workpiece. Installed by machinists and toolroom technicians in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
This end mill is sized for fine detail work and tight-tolerance slots, pockets, and profiles requiring a small-diameter tool. The 1/8 inch straight cylindrical shank fits standard collets and tool holders. Carbide end mills are brittle — avoid side-loading the shank during tightening and do not use a collet that does not match the 1/8 inch shank diameter. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before committing to a full-depth cut, particularly at this small diameter where deflection and breakage risk increases.
