The GUHRING 9031490190500 is a solid carbide square end mill from the Series 3149 line, designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking and machining applications. This single-end tool features a 0.75-inch cutting diameter, a 2.25-inch length of cut, and a 5-inch overall length, making it well-suited for long-reach slotting, peripheral milling, and profiling operations. The 2-flute spiral design runs a 30-degree helix with right-hand flute direction and right-hand cut orientation. A FIREX coating adds thermal resistance and wear protection, extending tool life in abrasive and high-temperature cutting conditions. Centercutting geometry enables plunge entry without pre-drilling.
This end mill targets CNC machining centers and manual mills running cast iron, stainless steel, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and plastics. The primary workpiece material codes K, M, N, and P cover cast iron, stainless steel, non-ferrous materials, and steel, respectively, with secondary suitability for high-temperature superalloys (code S). The long flute length and cylindrical straight shank with h6 tolerance make it a practical choice for shops running high-volume production or precision prototype work where dimensional accuracy and surface finish are critical. Machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops, aerospace, or general metalworking will find this tool ready for direct use from the box.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill for use in standard 0.75-inch collets, shrink-fit holders, and end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines. Suitable for workpiece material codes K, M, N, P, and S per GUHRING Series 3149 specifications.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and power is isolated before loading or unloading the tool. Seat the straight-cylindrical shank fully into the holder and torque set screws or collet nuts to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator after mounting before initiating any cutting cycle.
