The GUHRING 9031150190500 is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for high-performance milling in demanding material applications. Part of the Series 3115 lineup, this single-end tool features a 0.75 inch cutting diameter, a 1.5 inch length of cut, and a 4 inch overall length with a 0.75 inch straight cylindrical shank. Six spiral flutes with a variable helix geometry — running at 44, 45, and 46 degrees — reduce harmonic chatter and improve chip evacuation during aggressive cuts. A FIREX coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life across a broad range of workpiece materials. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers will recognize this as a center-cutting, right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration built for versatile production work.
This end mill is suited for milling operations in ferrous and nonferrous metals, as well as hard and exotic alloys. Primary workpiece material codes K, M, P, and S cover cast iron, stainless steel, steel, and aerospace superalloys respectively. Secondary material codes H and N extend capability into hardened materials and nonferrous alloys. It is a strong fit for aerospace, die and mold, and general precision machining environments where tool life consistency and surface finish matter. The regular length configuration fits standard tool holders without extended reach requirements.
Designed for use across primary workpiece material groups K, M, P, and S, with secondary capability in H and N material groups. Fits standard 0.75 inch collet chucks and end mill holders with straight cylindrical shank bores. Series 3115 tooling family.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or carousel is in a safe state before loading or unloading the tool. Tool stick-out should be minimized to the depth required for the operation to maintain rigidity and reduce deflection. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and tooling system guidelines for pull-out force ratings and torque specs on retention knobs or collet nuts — do not use manufacturer-specific values not confirmed by your tooling system documentation.
