The GUHRING 9031150095200 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metalworking applications. Part of the Series 3115 line, it features a 0.375-inch cutting diameter, a 1-inch length of cut, and a 2.5-inch overall length. The 6-flute geometry combined with a variable helix design at 44, 45, and 46 degrees reduces chatter and improves surface finish in finish milling operations. A FIREX coating provides heat and wear resistance, making this tool well suited for extended tool life in difficult-to-machine materials.
This end mill is intended for use on CNC machining centers and manual mills where right-hand cutting with a straight cylindrical shank is required. The centercutting capability allows plunge entry, and the spiral flute design promotes efficient chip evacuation. Primary workpiece material codes K, M, P, and S indicate suitability for cast iron, stainless steel, steel, and heat-resistant superalloys. Secondary material codes H and N extend application to hard materials and nonferrous metals. The 3/8-inch shank diameter fits standard ER and end mill holders across most machine platforms.
Compatible with workpiece materials corresponding to ISO codes K, M, P, S, H, and N, including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, hard materials, and nonferrous metals. Fits any spindle or toolholder accepting a 3/8-inch straight cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with end mill tooling and CNC or manual mill setup. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the tool path programmed before loading. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder to achieve full shank engagement and maintain runout within acceptable limits. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use, as carbide tooling can fracture if mounted with excessive runout or used in a worn holder.
