The GUHRING 9031140111100 is a single-end square end mill designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining applications. Built from solid carbide and coated with FIREX finish, this tool delivers heat and wear resistance suited for cutting cast iron, steel, stainless steel, and hard materials. The cutter measures 7/16 inch (0.4375 inch) in diameter with a 1 inch length of cut and a 2-3/4 inch overall length. A variable helix geometry at 35 and 38 degrees reduces harmonic vibration and chatter during aggressive cuts. This end mill is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling professionals in job shop and production environments.
This end mill is suited for milling operations in both job shop and production settings where material hardness and surface finish requirements are high. Primary workpiece materials include cast iron and steel (ISO K and P classifications). Secondary workpiece materials include stainless steel, hard materials, and other ISO H, M, and S classifications. The straight cylindrical shank allows direct mounting in standard collet chucks and end mill holders. The centercutting geometry supports both peripheral and plunge cutting operations. Series 3114 tooling from GUHRING is designed for regular-length reach applications without extended projection requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-application solid carbide square end mill for standard collet chucks and end mill holders accepting a 7/16 inch straight cylindrical shank. Compatible with ISO P, K, M, H, and S workpiece material classifications per GUHRING Series 3114 specifications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. The shank must be fully seated and properly torqued in the toolholder per the holder manufacturer specifications before operation. Verify spindle runout with a dial indicator before initiating cutting passes. Coolant-through is not supported on this tool; external coolant or air blast should be directed at the cutting zone when required by the workpiece material.
