The GUHRING 9030810063500 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metal-cutting environments. With a 1/4 inch cutting diameter, 3/4 inch length of cut, and 1/4 inch shank diameter, this tool delivers tight tolerances and consistent chip evacuation across a range of materials. The nano-A coating enhances surface hardness and wear resistance, extending tool life compared to uncoated carbide. Four flutes and a 38-degree helix angle combine to produce smooth finishes and stable cutting at aggressive feed rates. Licensed machinists and CNC operators in job shops, maintenance shops, and production facilities are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, giving the operator flexibility for pocket milling without a pre-drilled start hole. Right-hand cut with right-hand flute orientation is the standard configuration for conventional and climb milling on vertical and horizontal machining centers. The coarse pitch and variable helix style help dampen chatter in interrupted-cut situations. Overall length is 2-1/2 inches, keeping tool deflection low in typical reach applications.
Designed as a standard-shank replacement end mill for 1/4 inch collet chucks, ER collet systems, and side-lock holders used on vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers. Part of GUHRING Series 3081.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Ensure the collet or chuck bore is clean and free of debris before seating the 1/4 inch shank to the recommended gauge-line depth. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and tooling manufacturer guidelines for runout inspection before beginning a cut.
