The GUHRING 9030770063500 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. This single-end tool features a 0.25-inch cutting diameter, a 0.75-inch length of cut, and a 2.5-inch overall length with a 0.25-inch straight cylindrical shank. Four spiral flutes with a variable helix angle of 40 to 42 degrees promote smooth chip evacuation and reduce chatter during aggressive cuts. The bright, uncoated finish suits general-purpose work where coating is not required or where regrinding is anticipated. It is installed and operated by machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC operators working in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is suited for milling slots, pockets, and profiles in materials classified under primary workpiece material code N, which typically includes non-ferrous metals and plastics. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece, enabling both peripheral and end milling in a single tool. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is standard for conventional CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. The regular-length flute geometry keeps the tool rigid, which is important when maintaining tight tolerances on shallow-to-medium-depth features.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill in GUHRING Series 3077, intended for use in standard 0.25-inch collets, end mill holders, or hydraulic chucks on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for tool holding and runout. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before loading or unloading the tool. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the minimum engagement depth recommended by the holder manufacturer to prevent pullout under cutting loads. Do not exceed the tool's rated depth of cut or feed per tooth for the workpiece material being machined.
