The GUHRING 9026020127000 is a jobber-length twist drill bit designed for precision hole-making in demanding machining applications. Built from submicron-grade solid carbide and coated with titanium nitride (TiN), it delivers extended tool life and thermal resistance compared to standard high-speed steel alternatives. The 130-degree split point geometry reduces thrust force and improves centering accuracy on entry. With a parabolic flute design, the bit evacuates chips efficiently, making it well suited for deep-hole drilling in a single pass. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 0.5000 inches in diameter, compatible with standard drill chucks and collet toolholders. The overall length is 6.0 inches with a flute length of 4.5 inches.
This drill bit is intended for use in CNC machining centers, manual mills, and drill presses where close-tolerance hole quality is required. Typical applications include drilling ferrous metals, hardened steels, cast iron, stainless steel, and other difficult-to-machine materials in both production and job-shop environments. The web-thinned, tapered web configuration reduces cutting resistance at the tip, which benefits operators working with harder workpiece materials. It is most commonly installed and operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in industrial and manufacturing settings.
Designed as a jobber-length drill bit with a 0.5000-inch straight-cylindrical shank fitting standard drill chucks and collet systems. Meets ANSI specification designation. UNSPSC Code 23241634. Drill bit size range covers 0.5000 to 0.6500 decimal inch.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with carbide tooling. Ensure the spindle and workpiece are fully secured before initiating the cut, as carbide tooling is brittle and sensitive to lateral loading or interrupted cuts. Use recommended cutting speeds and feeds for the workpiece material — running carbide at speeds appropriate for high-speed steel tooling will cause premature edge failure. Always inspect the cutting edge and TiN coating for chips or wear before each use.
