The GUHRING 9026020099200 is a jobber-length drill bit designed for precision hole-making in aluminum and other non-ferrous and ferrous materials. Built from submicron-grade solid carbide, it carries a Titanium Nitride (TiN) coating that reduces friction and extends cutting life in production drilling environments. The 130-degree split point and web-thinned, tapered web geometry reduce thrust force and improve self-centering at entry. With a 5.125-inch overall length and a parabolic flute design, this bit moves chips efficiently and maintains straightness through the cut. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die shops, and CNC production facilities are the primary users of this series.
This bit is built for drilling aluminum as a primary workpiece material, with a material code classification of K, N, and P, making it suitable for non-ferrous metals, plastics, and some steel applications. The 8xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports deeper hole applications relative to diameter. It operates in a right-hand cutting direction and mounts in any standard straight-shank collet, drill chuck, or hydraulic toolholder sized for a 25/64-inch shank. The Series 2602 designation identifies it within the Guhring solid carbide jobber program. Typical applications include CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual mills in job shops and production lines.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual mills equipped with straight-shank toolholding rated for 25/64-inch diameter tooling. Primary workpiece material classification K, N, and P covers aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and plastics.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC technicians familiar with carbide tooling requirements. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is seated and torqued per the toolholder manufacturer's specification before beginning a cut. Carbide is brittle — avoid side-loading, interrupted cuts without proper feed rate adjustment, or using this bit to ream or pry. Confirm the workpiece is securely fixtured and that coolant delivery, if used, is directed at the cutting zone to prevent thermal shock to the carbide substrate.
