The GUHRING 9026020048500 is a jobber length drill bit in wire size No. 11 (0.1909 inches), manufactured from submicron solid carbide with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating. It features a 130-degree standard point angle, a parabolic flute geometry, and a straight-cylindrical shank. Overall length is 3.500 inches (88.90 mm) with a flute length of 2.313 inches. The parabolic flute design promotes efficient chip evacuation, and the TiN coating adds surface hardness and lubricity to extend tool life in production drilling environments. This bit is part of GUHRING Series 2602 and is intended for use by machinists and tool-room professionals on CNC or manual drill press setups.
This drill bit is rated for primary use in aluminum and non-ferrous materials, corresponding to material codes K, N, and P. Its 8xD flute-to-diameter ratio and web-thinned, tapered web configuration make it well-suited for deeper hole applications in light-alloy workpieces. Maximum drilling depth is 2.080 inches (52.83 mm). The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks and collet systems without modification. Typical applications include production shops, aerospace component machining, and general metalworking where consistent hole quality in aluminum or similar materials is required.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for any drill chuck or collet system accepting a 0.1909-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material compatibility includes aluminum and non-ferrous materials (material codes K, N, P) per Series 2602 application guidelines.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with cutting tool setup and machine operation. Secure the shank fully and concentrically in the chuck or collet before operation, and verify runout is within acceptable limits for the application. Ensure spindle speed and feed rate are set per published parameters for carbide tooling in the workpiece material being drilled. Do not use this bit on hardened steel or materials outside its rated workpiece material codes, as this may cause premature tool failure.
