The GUHRING 9026020038000 is a jobber-length drill bit sized to No. 25 wire gauge (0.1495 inches) and manufactured from submicron-grade solid carbide with a Titanium Nitride (TiN) coating. Part of the Guhring Series 2602, it features a 130-degree split point angle with web thinning for improved center engagement and reduced thrust. The parabolic flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation, making this bit particularly well-suited for aluminum and other non-ferrous materials. Overall length is 3.0 inches with a 1.875-inch flute length and a straight-cylindrical shank. Right-hand cut direction. Intended for use by machinists and toolroom technicians working in production or job-shop environments.
This drill bit is designed for drilling aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and plastics in applications where tool life, hole quality, and dimensional accuracy are priorities. The TiN coating reduces friction and extends cutting life in high-cycle production runs. The parabolic flute profile and web-thinned point support clean entry and efficient chip clearance in materials coded K, N, and P under the workpiece material classification system. Maximum drilling depth is 1.700 inches (43.10 mm). Suitable for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual mills with proper toolholding.
Designed as an OEM-style tooling solution for machining applications involving aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and plastics (material codes K, N, and P). Fits standard straight-shank drill chucks and collet holders sized for a 0.1496-inch shank diameter.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Secure the shank fully in a matched collet or drill chuck before operation and verify runout before starting the cut. Solid carbide tooling is brittle relative to high-speed steel — avoid side loading, interrupted cuts without adequate rigidity, or excessive feed rates that can cause chipping or fracture. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines for spindle speeds and feeds appropriate to the workpiece material.
