The GUHRING 9026010127000 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precision hole-making in demanding production environments. Built from submicron-grade solid carbide with a bright, uncoated finish, this bit delivers tight dimensional control with a diameter tolerance of +0.000 to -0.027 mm. The 130-degree drill point and parabolic flute geometry work together to reduce thrust, improve chip evacuation, and maintain accuracy through the full drilling depth. At 6.0 inches overall length with a 4.5-inch flute, it is sized for standard jobber-length applications in CNC machining centers and manual drill presses alike. Licensed machinists and tool-and-die professionals rely on this series for high-volume, repeatable results.
This drill bit is optimized for aluminum and non-ferrous materials, as well as select plastics and some steel workpieces, reflecting its P, K, and N material group ratings. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 1/2 inch in diameter, making it compatible with standard 1/2-inch chucks and collet holders. The web-thinned, tapered web configuration reduces cutting resistance at the point, a critical advantage when drilling gummy or abrasive non-ferrous alloys at production feed rates. It is part of the GUHRING Series 2601, a line engineered to the ANSI standard specification designation for consistent, cross-machine fitment.
Designed for use in standard 1/2-inch drill chucks and collet systems on CNC machining centers and drill presses. Rated for primary workpiece material codes K, N, and P, covering aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and select plastics and steels per the GUHRING Series 2601 specification.
Installation is performed by machinists or tooling setup personnel. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank fully in a properly sized chuck or collet before operation, and verify runout with a dial indicator when tolerances are critical. Do not exceed the maximum drilling depth of 3.86 inches without retracting to clear chips, particularly in blind-hole applications. Solid carbide tooling is brittle and should not be used in setups with excessive vibration or in machines with significant spindle runout.
