The GUHRING 9026010119100 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit engineered for precision drilling in demanding shop and field applications. Ground from submicron carbide stock with a bright (uncoated) finish, it maintains tight dimensional tolerances and cutting-edge integrity across a wide range of work materials. The parabolic flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation, reducing heat buildup and the need for peck cycles. At 15/32 inch (0.4688 inch decimal) diameter with an overall length of 5.75 inches and a flute length of 4.313 inches, this bit suits through-hole and deep-hole work where a standard jobber-length tool reaches the application without extension holders.
This drill bit is suited for metalworking trades including machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and maintenance mechanics drilling ferrous and non-ferrous materials where carbide performance is required over high-speed steel. The straight-cylindrical shank accepts standard drill chucks and collet holders sized for 15/32 inch shank stock. The web-thinned, tapered-web geometry reduces thrust load at entry, making it practical for vertical mills, drill presses, and CNC machining centers. Right-hand cut rotation is the standard for the vast majority of drilling setups.
Designed as a jobber-length replacement drill bit for use in standard drill chucks and collet tool holders accepting a 15/32 inch straight-cylindrical shank, conforming to ANSI specification designations for jobber-length carbide drill bits.
This drill bit is installed and serviced by machinists and tool technicians operating drill presses, milling machines, or CNC machining centers. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet to the recommended engagement depth to prevent slippage under load. Carbide tooling is brittle — avoid dropping or side-loading the bit during handling or setup, as chipping at the cutting edge will shorten tool life significantly.
