The GUHRING 9026010069000 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit sized to Letter I (0.2717 inches) with a 130-degree drill point angle. Built from submicron-grade solid carbide with a bright uncoated finish, this bit is engineered for precision hole-making in non-ferrous and non-metallic materials. The parabolic flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation, reducing heat buildup and extending tool life in production drilling environments. With an overall length of 4.125 inches and a flute length of 2.875 inches, it fits standard drill chucks and CNC machining centers. Right-hand cut and web-thinned for reduced entry thrust, this bit is a direct fit for machinists and toolroom technicians working in high-tolerance applications.
The 9026010069000 is primarily suited for drilling aluminum and similar non-ferrous workpiece materials. The parabolic flute design with a tapered web configuration handles the long, stringy chips common in aluminum drilling without clogging. The 8xD flute-to-diameter ratio provides adequate depth capacity for most jobber-length hole requirements in sheet metal, plate, and structural aluminum applications. It conforms to ANSI standards and belongs to GUHRING Series 2601, which targets light-metal and plastic drilling in both manual and CNC setups. A straight-cylindrical shank makes it compatible with standard collet chucks, drill chucks, and hydraulic toolholders used in machining and fabrication shops.
Designed as a jobber-length replacement drill bit for ANSI-standard toolholding systems. Compatible with workpiece material codes K, N, and P, covering aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and non-metallic materials. No coolant-through capability; intended for dry or flood-coolant external applications only.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician familiar with CNC or manual drill press operations. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank firmly in a collet chuck, drill chuck, or hydraulic holder before operation, and verify runout is within acceptable tolerance for the application. Do not exceed the maximum drilling depth of 2.53 inches in a single pass without retracting to clear chips. Solid carbide tooling is brittle and susceptible to breakage if subjected to lateral loading or interrupted cuts without proper setup.
