The GUHRING 9026010034500 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precision hole-making in light metals and nonferrous materials. Built on GUHRING Series 2601, it carries a No. 29 wire gauge diameter of 0.1358 inches and features a 130-degree split point for accurate entry without walking. The parabolic flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation, making it well suited for production drilling where chip packing and heat buildup are concerns. The bright uncoated finish is standard for carbide tools running in aluminum and similar workpiece materials. Overall length is 2.75 inches with a flute length of 1.625 inches.
This drill bit is intended for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and handheld electric drills where tight hole tolerances and clean exit geometry matter. The submicron carbide grade provides rigidity and edge retention in aluminum, plastics, and other nonferrous or short-chipping materials. The straight cylindrical shank is compatible with standard drill chucks and collet systems. It is a single-piece solid carbide construction with no coolant-through provision, making it appropriate for air blast or flood coolant applied externally at the cutting zone.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide jobber drill for use in standard drill chucks and collet systems accepting a 0.1358-inch straight cylindrical shank; primary workpiece material codes K, N, and P cover aluminum, nonferrous metals, and plastics per the supplier specification.
This drill bit is installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in machine spindles or drill chucks rated for the shank diameter. Ensure the spindle and workpiece are properly fixtured and secured before operation. Solid carbide is brittle compared to high-speed steel; avoid side loading, interrupted cuts beyond the tool design, or impacts that can cause chipping. Consult the machine manufacturer and applicable ANSI standards for recommended speeds and feeds based on workpiece material and hole depth.
