The GUHRING 9024640052200 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit designed for precision drilling in aluminum and other non-ferrous materials. Built to DIN specification, this bit carries the FIREX coating and a faceted 118-degree point angle for clean entry and reduced material adhesion. It runs a two-flute spiral configuration with regular spiral geometry and web-thinned tip to reduce thrust and improve chip evacuation. Overall length is 3.39 inches (86 mm) with a flute length of 2.05 inches (52 mm). The straight-cylindrical shank seats securely in standard chucks and collets. This bit is suited for production shops, toolrooms, and field service work where consistent hole quality in light alloys is required.
The 9024640052200 is sized for wire gauge number 5, measuring 0.2055 inches in diameter. It is rated for general purpose use with a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio, making it appropriate for moderate-depth holes in aluminum and similar non-ferrous workpiece materials (Primary Workpiece Material Code: N). The 34 mm shank and straight-cylindrical profile make it compatible with standard drill press chucks, CNC machining center collets, and handheld drill drivers where precise tolerances are needed. Maximum drilling depth is 1.739 inches (44.17 mm). Coolant-through capability is not included in this design.
Designed as a general purpose OEM-style jobber length drill bit for use in aluminum and non-ferrous material applications; fits standard straight-cylindrical chuck and collet systems accepting a 5.22 mm shank diameter.
Installation and use of this bit should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Verify that the machine spindle and chuck are fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the bit. Seat the straight-cylindrical shank fully and uniformly in the chuck or collet to prevent runout. Follow applicable shop safety codes and machine manufacturer guidelines for speed, feed, and clamping when drilling aluminum or non-ferrous materials.
