The GUHRING 9024640051100 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit designed for precision drilling in aluminum and other non-ferrous materials. It carries a FIREX coating for improved wear resistance and heat dissipation during high-speed drilling operations. The bit measures 0.201 inches in diameter (wire size 7) with an overall length of 3.39 inches and a flute length of 2.05 inches. The 118-degree faceted point angle and web-thinned tip reduce entry force and help center the bit on contact. Licensed HVAC, machining, and metalworking tradespeople use this bit for tight-tolerance applications where consistent hole geometry is required. Sold individually.
This drill bit is suited for general-purpose drilling in aluminum and similar non-ferrous workpiece materials where a clean, accurate hole is needed. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks without adapters. The regular spiral flute and 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio support chip evacuation in moderate-depth holes. The bit does not include coolant-through capability, making it appropriate for bench drilling, hand drill press work, and CNC applications where external coolant or dry drilling is used. It is part of the Guhring Series 2464 product line and conforms to DIN specification standards.
Designed as a general-purpose jobber length drill bit for use in standard drill chucks accepting a 5.11 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material designation is N (aluminum and non-ferrous materials).
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or tradespeople familiar with cutting tool safety. Secure the shank fully in the drill chuck before operation and verify runout before drilling. Coolant through is not supported on this bit; apply external coolant or use dry drilling practices appropriate to the workpiece material. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use, as carbide tools can fracture if run with damaged geometry.
