The GUHRING 9024640026000 is a jobber-length drill bit engineered for precision drilling in non-ferrous and aluminum workpieces. Built from solid carbide grade K40, it carries a FIREX coating that improves surface hardness and heat resistance during high-speed cutting operations. The bit measures 2.6 mm in diameter (0.1024 inches) with an overall length of 57 mm (2.24 inches) and a flute length of 30 mm (1.18 inches). A web-thinned, faceted 118-degree point reduces entry force and improves centering. This is a precision cutting tool installed and used by machinists, tool-and-die professionals, and maintenance technicians working in production or field environments.
This drill bit is designed for general-purpose drilling in aluminum and other non-ferrous materials coded N under standard workpiece material classification. The straight-cylindrical shank seats in standard drill chucks and collet holders without modification. With a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and a maximum drilling depth of 26.10 mm (1.028 inches), it suits through-hole and blind-hole applications in light-gauge aluminum components, fixtures, and assemblies. It conforms to DIN specification standards and belongs to GUHRING Series 2464.
Designed as a general-purpose jobber-length drill bit for use in standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 2.6 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material designation is N, covering aluminum and similar non-ferrous alloys.
This tool is intended for use by trained machinists and maintenance technicians operating drill presses, CNC machining centers, or hand-held power tools with appropriate chuck capacity. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet before operation and verify runout before drilling. Carbide tooling is brittle and should not be used in applications involving interrupted cuts or significant side loading without confirming the tool is rated for that use. Follow the machine manufacturer and applicable shop safety guidelines when setting spindle speed and feed rate for the workpiece material.
