The GUHRING 9024640019300 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit in wire gauge size No. 48, with a decimal diameter of 0.0760 inches. It features a FIREX coating for improved wear resistance and heat management during cutting operations. The bit measures 1.93 inches overall length with a 0.94-inch flute length and is designed for right-hand cutting with a standard 118-degree faceted point. Web thinning reduces thrust and improves chip evacuation at entry. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and general mechanical trades, as well as precision machinists and metalworking professionals, will find this bit suited for tight-tolerance small-diameter drilling work.
This drill bit is rated for general purpose use with a primary workpiece material designation of aluminum and non-ferrous metals (material code N). It is well suited for light-production and maintenance drilling where a small-diameter, high-stiffness carbide tool is required. The straight-cylindrical shank diameter is 1.93 mm, compatible with standard collet chucks and keyless drill chucks accepting that shank size. The spiral flute design promotes consistent chip removal in shallow to moderate depth holes. Maximum drilling depth is 0.831 inches (21.11 mm) under standard conditions.
Designed as a general purpose jobber length drill bit for use in standard collet chucks and keyless chucks accepting a 1.93 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Intended primarily for aluminum and non-ferrous metal workpieces per material code N classification.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists or trade professionals familiar with small-diameter carbide tooling. Secure the shank fully in a properly sized collet or chuck before operation to prevent runout or breakage. Carbide tooling is brittle — avoid side loading, interrupted cuts without appropriate feed rate adjustment, and dropping or impacting the cutting edge. Always verify spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material and hole depth before beginning the cut.
