The GUHRING 9024640013200 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precise small-diameter drilling in non-ferrous and aluminum workpiece materials. Built to DIN specification standards, this bit carries a FIREX coating for enhanced wear resistance and heat management during high-speed drilling operations. It runs a 118-degree faceted point angle with web thinning to reduce thrust and improve chip evacuation on entry. At wire size 55 with a decimal diameter of 0.0520 inches, this bit is suited for fine-tolerance work where carbide rigidity and coating durability are required. It is a general-purpose tool matched to material grade K40 carbide stock.
This drill bit is intended for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and handheld power tools where small-diameter accuracy is critical. Its primary application is in aluminum and other non-ferrous materials coded N under standard workpiece material classification. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard collets and chucks sized to 1.32 mm shank diameter. Machinists, toolroom technicians, and precision fabricators working in production or maintenance environments will find this bit appropriate for high-repeatability small-hole drilling without coolant-through requirements.
Designed as a general-purpose jobber-length carbide drill bit in Series 2464 for use in standard chucks and collets accepting a 1.32 mm straight-cylindrical shank, suitable for CNC and manual drilling of non-ferrous workpiece materials.
Installation and tool changes should be performed with the machine fully powered down and spindle locked. Verify that the chuck or collet is properly sized to accept the 1.32 mm shank before securing. Use appropriate feeds and speeds for carbide tooling in aluminum to avoid chipping the cutting edge. Inspect the bit for coating wear or edge damage before each use, as carbide tools are brittle and should not be used if chipped.
