The GUHRING 9024630032600 is a solid carbide stub-length (screw machine length) drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding shop and production environments. Built to DIN 6539 standards, it features a 118-degree faceted point with web thinning for improved centering and reduced thrust. The 0.1285-inch (#30 wire gauge) diameter and right-hand spiral flute geometry make this bit well suited for controlled, repeatable hole-making in aluminum and similarly machinable materials. Solid carbide construction provides the rigidity needed for short, stiff setups where minimizing deflection is critical.
This bit is intended for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and screw machines where stub-length tooling is preferred for its reduced overhang and improved rigidity. Its Series 2463 designation and 3xD flute-to-diameter ratio make it appropriate for general-purpose through-hole and shallow blind-hole operations in aluminum and non-ferrous materials. With a straight-cylindrical shank, it seats directly in standard drill chucks and collet holders without adapters.
Designed as a general-purpose stub-length drill bit for use in aluminum and non-ferrous workpiece materials, compatible with any machine spindle or chuck accepting a 3.26 mm (approximately 0.128-inch) straight-cylindrical shank. Fits applications requiring DIN 6539 tooling in Series 2463.
Installation and use of carbide drill bits should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with proper chuck torque and runout tolerances. Ensure the spindle and chuck are clean and free of chips before seating the shank to prevent runout that can chip carbide. Do not use this bit without confirming the machine RPM and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material and hole depth. Maximum drilling depth for this bit is 0.516 inches; exceeding this depth without pecking cycles may cause tool breakage.
