The GUHRING 9024630029500 is a stub-length (screw machine length) solid carbide drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding production environments. Sized at 0.116 inches (No. 32 wire gauge) in diameter, it features a 118-degree faceted point angle and a web-thinned tip that reduces thrust and improves chip evacuation at entry. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 2.95 mm and fits standard drill chucks and collet holders without modification. With a two-flute regular spiral configuration and an overall length of 1.811 inches, this bit delivers accurate, repeatable hole quality in short-reach applications. Licensed HVAC technicians, machinists, and production line operators working with tight tolerances will find it suited to high-cycle drilling tasks.
This drill bit is engineered for use in aluminum as its primary workpiece material, though its solid carbide K40 grade substrate performs well in other non-ferrous and softer materials where rigidity and edge retention matter. The stub-length body limits deflection in shallow-depth applications, making it a practical choice for fixture drilling, sheet metal operations, and CNC machining centers where a short, stiff drill is preferred. Maximum drilling depth is 0.456 inches. The 3xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports chip clearance in confined bores.
Designed as a general-purpose stub-length carbide drill bit conforming to DIN 6539, suitable for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and hand-held drilling equipment accepting a straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or tradespeople familiar with cutting tool handling and machine tool operation. Secure the shank fully within the chuck or collet before operation, and verify runout before beginning a production run. Always follow the machine manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for carbide tooling in the workpiece material being drilled. Inspect the cutting edges before each use and replace the bit at the first sign of chipping or dulling to avoid workpiece damage.
