The GUHRING 9014520062000 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding production environments. Built to DIN 6539 standards, this 6.2 mm diameter bit features a 150-degree drill point angle, a three-flute spiral design, and a web-thinned, tapered web configuration that promotes self-centering entry and reduces thrust force at the start of the cut. The bright, uncoated carbide construction uses a submicron material grade, delivering edge retention and dimensional consistency across repeated drilling cycles. Overall length is 70 mm with a flute length of 42 mm, keeping the tool rigid in short-reach applications.
This bit is suited for machining operations where hole location accuracy and clean entry are critical, such as drilling hardened or abrasive workpiece materials in CNC machining centers, drill presses, or multi-spindle setups. The straight-cylindrical shank seats directly into standard drill chucks or collet holders without modification. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and a maximum drilling depth of 32.7 mm make it appropriate for through-holes and blind holes within that reach. Machinists, toolroom technicians, and production floor operators handling precision metalworking tasks are the primary users of this bit.
Designed as an OEM-specification replacement or direct-use tooling for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and multi-spindle machines accepting a straight-cylindrical shank with a 6.2 mm diameter bit in the Series 1452 GUHRING lineup, conforming to DIN 6539 standards.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians familiar with cutting tool handling. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and the tool changer or spindle is at rest before seating or removing the bit. Secure the shank fully within the collet or chuck to the manufacturer-specified grip depth to prevent pullout under load. Carbide tooling is brittle and should not be subjected to impact or dropped onto hard surfaces, as micro-fractures can compromise performance and safety.
