The GUHRING 9014520061000 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding industrial and trade applications. Built to DIN 6539 standards, this 6.1 mm diameter bit features a 150-degree point angle with a web-thinned, tapered web configuration for self-centering entry and reduced thrust force. The bright uncoated finish suits applications where coating is undesirable or where regrinding will occur. Three spiral flutes in a regular helix provide efficient chip evacuation over a flute length of 42 mm. At 70 mm overall length with a straight-cylindrical shank, this bit is compatible with standard drill chucks and tool holders used by machinists, toolroom technicians, and production floor operators.
This bit is suited for precision hole-making in metals and engineered materials where tight tolerances and clean entry are required. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and 32.85 mm maximum drilling depth make it appropriate for through-holes and blind holes in workpieces encountered in general machining, aerospace component work, die and mold applications, and mechanical assembly operations. The submicron carbide grade supports performance in harder or abrasive workpiece materials where high-speed steel tooling loses edge life prematurely.
Designed as a DIN 6539 Series 1452 jobber length drill bit in the 6.00 mm to 7.00 mm diameter range, compatible with standard straight-shank drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 0.2402-inch shank diameter.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel familiar with carbide tooling. Secure the shank fully in the tool holder before operation and verify runout is within machine and application tolerances. Carbide tooling is brittle — avoid side loading, interrupted cuts in unsupported setups, or excessive feed rates that can cause chipping or fracture. Power down and de-energize the machine spindle before bit installation or removal.
