The GUHRING 9014520052000 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit designed for precise, high-performance drilling in demanding shop and production environments. Built to DIN 6539 standards, it measures 5.2 mm (0.2047 inches) in diameter with an overall length of 62 mm (2.441 inches) and a flute length of 35 mm (1.378 inches). The 150-degree drill point angle and web-thinned, tapered web geometry promote self-centering entry and reduce thrust load. Three spiral flutes support efficient chip evacuation. This bit is installed by machinists and tooling technicians working in CNC and manual drilling operations on hardened or difficult-to-machine materials.
This drill bit is suited for drilling operations that require tight tolerances and consistent hole quality in hard materials, composites, and cast metals. The submicron carbide grade provides wear resistance at elevated cutting speeds. The bright uncoated finish is appropriate for applications where coating interaction with workpiece material is a concern. It fits standard straight-cylindrical shank tool holders and collet chucks used in machining centers, drill presses, and CNC lathes. Maximum drilling depth is 27.2 mm (1.07 inches), making it practical for through-hole and shallow blind-hole work in production settings.
Designed as a DIN 6539 Series 1452 jobber length drill bit in the 5.00 mm to 6.00 mm diameter range, fitting standard straight-cylindrical shank holders with a 0.2047-inch shank diameter.
Installation is performed by machinists or tooling technicians. Before changing tooling, power down the spindle and confirm the machine is in a safe lockout state per shop safety procedures. Seat the shank fully in the collet or chuck and torque the holder to the tool holder specification. Do not exceed the maximum drilling depth of 27.2 mm without retracting to clear chips, as carbide tooling is brittle and susceptible to breakage under side load or chip packing.
