The GUHRING 9014520039700 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding materials. Built to DIN 6539 standards, this 5/32 inch (0.1562 inch decimal) diameter bit features a 150-degree point angle and a three-flute spiral design that promotes efficient chip evacuation and self-centering entry. The submicron-grade carbide construction delivers consistent performance in hardened steels, cast iron, stainless alloys, and other difficult workpiece materials. It is used primarily by machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and maintenance professionals operating CNC and manual drilling equipment in production and job-shop environments.
This bit is suited for precision hole-making applications in ferrous and non-ferrous metals where dimensional accuracy and tool life are critical. The straight cylindrical shank allows direct chuck mounting on standard drill presses, CNC machining centers, and hand-held power tools. The web-thinned, tapered web configuration reduces thrust at entry and improves centering without a pilot hole. A 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and a maximum drilling depth of 0.947 inch (24.05 mm) make it appropriate for through-hole and blind-hole work in typical production settings. No coolant-through capability is present, so external coolant or cutting fluid application is the standard practice.
Designed as a DIN 6539 Series 1452 jobber-length drill bit with a 5/32 inch straight cylindrical shank, compatible with standard drill chucks and collet systems accepting that shank diameter across CNC machining centers, drill presses, and handheld rotary tools.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with carbide tooling requirements. Ensure the spindle and chuck are fully powered down and locked out before loading or removing the bit. Carbide tooling is brittle — avoid side loading, interrupted cuts beyond the tool rating, and dropping the bit on hard surfaces. Apply appropriate cutting fluid externally during drilling since this bit does not have coolant-through capability.
