The GUHRING 9011830083300 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit designed for precision hole-making in demanding materials. It measures 21/64 inches (0.3281 inches) in diameter with an overall length of 103 mm and a flute length of 61 mm. The 140-degree split point geometry reduces walking and thrust force at entry. A Titanium Nitride (TiN) coating increases surface hardness and extends tool life in high-cycle production environments. This bit is installed by machinists and metalworking tradespeople in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual mills where tight tolerances and consistent performance are required.
This drill bit is suited for use in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, alloys, and similar hard materials where a carbide substrate outperforms high-speed steel. The whistle notch shank provides positive drive engagement and resists pullout in collet and chuck setups. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and regular spiral flute design support efficient chip evacuation at higher feed rates. Its coolant-through capability makes it compatible with through-spindle coolant systems, reducing heat buildup and extending tool life in deep-hole drilling applications. Typical applications include production machining and precision fabrication work.
Designed as an OEM-specification jobber length drill bit conforming to DIN 6537L standards, suitable for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual mills equipped with collet or chuck toolholding systems that accept a 0.3937-inch shank diameter.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with cutting tool safety practices. Before changing or setting this bit, ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a locked-out or de-energized state per applicable shop safety procedures. Verify collet or chuck clamping torque is appropriate for the shank diameter and tool weight before initiating a cut. When using coolant-through capability, confirm the spindle and toolholder are rated for through-spindle coolant delivery before pressurizing the coolant system.
