The GUHRING 9011830051600 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precision hole-making in demanding production environments. Built to DIN 6537L standards, it features a 140-degree split point (SU-type) with web thinning for self-centering entry and reduced thrust. The submicron carbide substrate is coated with Titanium Nitride (TiN) for extended tool life in abrasive materials. The whistle notch shank provides positive drive retention in compatible chucks. With a 13/64 inch (0.2031 inch) cutting diameter and a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio, this bit delivers consistent chip evacuation through its two spiral flutes over a 44 mm flute length.
This drill bit is rated for use in cast iron and steel (workpiece material codes K and P). It suits CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual machines in metalworking shops, tool rooms, and MRO production lines. The coolant-through design supports high-speed drilling cycles where internal coolant delivery is available, improving chip flush and heat management at depth. The maximum drilling depth is 1.428 inches (36.26 mm), making it appropriate for standard through-hole and blind-hole applications in medium to hard ferrous materials.
Designed for use in cast iron and steel workpieces (DIN material codes K and P). Compatible with tool holders and chucks accepting a 0.2362 inch shank diameter with a whistle notch drive feature. Suitable for CNC and manual drilling applications where DIN 6537L jobber-length carbide bits are specified.
Installation and tool changes should be performed with the machine at a full stop and all power isolated. Secure the whistle notch shank in a compatible chuck or collet to the tool holder manufacturer's specified clamping torque range. Verify coolant-through passages are clear before use if internal coolant is employed. Inspect cutting edges and coating condition before each use; carbide edges are brittle and sensitive to side loading or impact during setup.
