The GUHRING 9010880081900 is a spiral flute pipe tap designed for cutting 1/16-27 NPT internal pipe threads in blind hole applications. Manufactured from cobalt high-speed steel with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, this tap delivers improved wear resistance and heat dissipation during threading operations. The modified bottoming chamfer allows threads to be cut closer to the bottom of a blind hole than a standard taper tap. With 4 flutes and a 25-degree helix angle, it efficiently evacuates chips upward out of the hole, reducing the risk of chip packing. Overall length is 90 millimeters, shank diameter is 8 millimeters, and square size is 6.2 millimeters. Sold individually.
