The GUHRING 9007690103200 is a straight-flute die drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in aluminum and non-ferrous materials. Built from submicron solid carbide, it delivers the edge retention and heat resistance required for demanding production environments. The 13/32 inch (0.4063 inch) diameter bit features a 120-degree point angle, web-thinned geometry, and through-coolant capability via a round coolant hole, making it well-suited for deep-hole applications up to 3.879 inches. With a 7xD flute-to-diameter ratio and right-hand cutting direction, this two-flute design provides efficient chip evacuation and dimensional accuracy within a tight tolerance of plus 0.007 to plus 0.025 mm.
This drill bit is designed for use in CNC machining centers, drilling cells, and high-production metalworking operations where consistent bore quality in aluminum, aluminum alloy, and cast iron is required. The through-coolant feature supports longer tool life and stable chip removal in deep-hole drilling scenarios. It conforms to DIN 6535HA shank specifications, making it compatible with standard DIN-compliant toolholders and collet chucks commonly found in production machine shops. Typical users include CNC machinists, tool-and-die shops, and production facilities working with non-ferrous and light-metal components.
Designed for machining aluminum, aluminum alloy, and cast iron workpieces (material codes K and N). Shank conforms to DIN 6535HA for use with compatible DIN-standard toolholders and collet systems.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tool-and-die professional. Ensure the machine spindle and toolholder are powered down and fully stopped before inserting or removing the bit. Verify coolant lines are connected and flow is confirmed before beginning deep-hole cycles, as uninterrupted coolant delivery is critical to tool life with through-coolant carbide drills. Inspect the shank and bore of the toolholder for debris or runout before clamping to maintain tolerance integrity.
