The GUHRING 9007680110000 is a solid carbide, straight-flute die drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in aluminum and non-ferrous materials. Built to Series 768 specifications, this drill features a 0.4331 inch (11.00 mm) cutting diameter with an uncoated submicron carbide body that delivers edge sharpness and wear resistance in demanding production environments. The 120-degree standard point and web-thinned geometry reduce thrust forces on entry. Internal coolant-through capability with round coolant holes supports chip evacuation and heat management during deep-hole operations. Licensed machinists and toolroom professionals working on die and mold applications are the primary installers of this tool.
This drill bit is suited for precision drilling in aluminum, aluminum alloy, and cast iron workpieces across both production and toolroom environments. The 4xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports drilling to a maximum depth of 2.1460 inches (54.50 mm), making it well-matched to die work, fixture machining, and close-tolerance hole applications where dimensional accuracy is critical. The DIN 6535HA shank specification ensures compatibility with standard precision tool holders used in CNC machining centers and drill presses.
Designed for use with DIN 6535HA-compliant precision tool holders. Primary workpiece materials are aluminum and aluminum alloy (material code N) and cast iron (material code K). Flute-by-diameter ratio is 4xD with a maximum drilling depth of 2.1460 inches (54.50 mm).
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine power locked out per shop safety procedures. Seat the DIN 6535HA shank fully into the tool holder and verify runout before cutting. Coolant supply lines should be confirmed active before engaging deep-hole drilling cycles to prevent chip packing. Diameter tolerance of +0.007 to +0.025 mm should be verified against workpiece drawing requirements before production use.
