The GUHRING 9007680042000 is a solid carbide, straight-flute die drill bit engineered for precision drilling in non-ferrous metals and cast iron. Part of the GUHRING Series 768, this bit features a 4.20 mm (0.1654 inch) diameter, a 120-degree standard point angle, and through-coolant capability via a round coolant hole. The submicron carbide grade and web-thinned geometry combine to reduce cutting forces and improve chip evacuation in demanding applications. Right-hand cutting direction and an uncoated finish make it well suited for aluminum and aluminum alloy workpieces where coating buildup is a concern.
This drill bit is designed for use in die and mold work, precision machining centers, and high-production environments where tight tolerances and reliable performance are required. The straight-flute design is optimized for aluminum, aluminum alloys, and cast iron. With a 4xD flute-to-diameter ratio and a maximum drilling depth of 23.70 mm (0.9330 inches), it handles through-hole and blind-hole operations in short to medium depth applications. The DIN 6535HA shank specification ensures compatibility with standard toolholders used in CNC machining operations.

This bit is installed and serviced by machinists and toolroom technicians operating CNC machining centers or precision drill presses. Power down and fully de-energize the machine spindle before changing tooling. Verify toolholder runout is within acceptable limits before use, as excess runout accelerates carbide wear and can cause premature breakage. Connect through-coolant supply to the machine spindle coolant circuit to activate internal cooling during operation.
