The GUHRING 9007320040400 is a jobber-length drill bit designed for precise, reliable hole-making in general-purpose machining applications. Built from solid carbide, this bit delivers the hardness and wear resistance needed for consistent performance in production and maintenance settings. It carries a wire gauge size of No. 21, a decimal diameter of 0.1591 inches, and a 118-degree faceted point angle. The bright, uncoated finish maintains tight tolerances straight from the factory. With a total overall length of 75 millimeters and a right-hand spiral flute design, it is suited for machinists, tool-and-die shops, and maintenance technicians working with non-ferrous metals and similar materials.
This bit is specified for drilling aluminum and other non-ferrous materials where clean entry and accurate hole size are required. It is a Series 732 tool built to DIN specification standards. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks on CNC machining centers, knee mills, drill presses, and hand-operated power tools. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and web-thinned point reduce thrust and improve chip evacuation in through-hole and blind-hole operations. It is sold individually and suits job-shop environments where single-piece replenishment is practical.
Designed as a general-purpose jobber-length replacement drill bit for use in standard drill chucks accepting a 4.04 millimeter straight-cylindrical shank, suitable for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and handheld power drills where a No. 21 wire gauge carbide bit is specified.
Installation is performed by machinists and maintenance technicians using standard drill chuck tooling. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Confirm chuck jaw seating and shank runout before beginning a drilling operation. Carbide tooling is brittle — avoid side loading or using the bit as a pry or reamer to prevent fracture.
