The GUHRING 9007320030500 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit sized to wire gauge No. 31 (0.1201 inches decimal equivalent) with a 118-degree faceted point angle. Built from solid carbide, it offers the rigidity and wear resistance needed for consistent hole quality in non-ferrous and general-purpose machining applications. The bright, uncoated finish keeps the cutting edge visible and suits use in materials where coatings are unnecessary. With a regular spiral flute geometry and web-thinned point, it reduces entry force and chip packing. Right-hand cut with a straight-cylindrical shank, it seats directly into standard drill chucks and collets without adapters.
This drill bit is designed for general-purpose jobber-length drilling in production and maintenance environments. Its primary workpiece material designation is aluminum and other non-ferrous materials (ISO material code N), making it well suited for aerospace, automotive, and general fabrication shops. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports moderate-depth holes without chip evacuation issues. The compact 65 mm overall length and 36 mm flute length handle standard depth requirements in manual drill presses, CNC machining centers, and benchtop equipment alike. It conforms to DIN specification standards and is manufactured under GUHRING Series 732.
Designed as an OEM-style general-purpose jobber drill for use in standard drill chucks and collets accepting a 0.1201-inch straight-cylindrical shank across manual and CNC drilling equipment.
Installation is performed by machinists or maintenance technicians using a standard drill press, CNC machining center, or hand drill with an appropriate chuck or collet. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the drill chuck is securely tightened before operation. Solid carbide tooling is brittle compared to high-speed steel and requires stable fixturing to prevent chipping or breakage from lateral loads or workpiece movement. Follow the equipment manufacturer and applicable shop safety standards for speeds, feeds, and coolant when machining.
