The GUHRING 9007300075400 is a solid carbide stub-length (screw machine length) drill bit with a 19/64 inch (0.2969 inch) diameter and a 118-degree faceted point angle. Manufactured to DIN 6539 standards in Series 730, this bit features a web-thinned tip for reduced thrust and cleaner entry. The bright/uncoated finish suits general-purpose drilling in non-ferrous metals and similar materials. With an overall length of 3.1102 inches and a maximum drilling depth of 1.011 inches, it is designed for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual machines where rigidity and dimensional accuracy are priorities. Licensed machinists and tool-and-die shops are the primary users.
This drill bit is suited for drilling aluminum and other non-ferrous workpiece materials in production and job-shop environments. The stub-length body provides greater rigidity than jobber-length bits, reducing deflection in tight setups or shallow-depth applications. The straight cylindrical shank with a diameter of 0.2969 inches fits standard three-jaw drill chucks and collet holders. The 3xD flute-to-diameter ratio and regular spiral flute geometry support consistent chip evacuation in through-hole and blind-hole drilling operations. It is sold individually and carries a DIN 6539 specification designation with an h8 diameter tolerance for close-fit applications.

Install and remove drill bits only after the spindle has come to a complete stop and the machine is locked out per applicable safety procedures. Secure the straight cylindrical shank fully in a properly sized collet or drill chuck to the recommended engagement depth before operation. Coolant-through is not supported on this bit, so external coolant or cutting fluid should be applied at the tool tip when drilling aluminum at higher feed rates. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping before each use, as carbide is brittle and edge damage can cause workpiece damage or bit failure.
