The GUHRING 9007300069000 is a solid micrograin carbide stub-length drill bit sized at 0.2717 inches (Letter I) diameter with a 118-degree faceted point angle. Designed for right-hand cutting with a regular spiral flute, it delivers consistent chip evacuation in general-purpose drilling applications. The straight-cylindrical shank seats securely in standard drill chucks and collets. At an overall length of 74.00 mm (approximately 2.91 inches) and a flute length of 34.00 mm (approximately 1.34 inches), this stub-length geometry provides added rigidity compared to jobber-length bits, reducing deflection in short-hole and production drilling work. It carries a DIN 6539 specification and an h8 diameter tolerance.
This drill bit is intended for use on aluminum and other non-ferrous or soft ferrous materials in general-purpose machining environments. The stub-length design is well suited to screw machine, CNC, and drill press applications where reduced overhang improves positional accuracy. The 3xD flute-to-diameter ratio and web-thinned point geometry lower entry thrust, making the bit practical for close-tolerance production runs.
