The GUHRING 9007300013200 is a solid carbide stub-length (screw machine length) drill bit designed for precision drilling in tight-clearance applications. Built to DIN 6539 standards from micrograin carbide stock, this bit delivers consistent hole quality in aluminum and other non-ferrous materials. It carries a 118-degree faceted point angle with web thinning to reduce thrust and improve centering at entry. The bright, uncoated finish suits applications where coating compatibility or re-sharpening cycles are a priority. A licensed HVAC tech, machinist, or trade professional reaching for a #55 wire-gauge hole will find this bit dimensionally consistent across the full h8 tolerance spec.
This drill bit is suited for stub-length drilling operations where a shorter flute column provides rigidity and reduced deflection. Primary workpiece material is aluminum, though general-purpose carbide grade means it performs across a range of non-ferrous and softer ferrous materials in production and repair environments. The straight-cylindrical shank seats in standard drill chucks and collets without modification. Maximum drilling depth is 0.237 inches (6.02 mm), keeping the bit in its intended stub-length envelope.
Designed as a general-purpose stub-length carbide drill bit in the GUHRING Series 730 line, sized to wire gauge #55 (0.052 inches). Fits standard drill chucks and collets accepting a 1.32 mm straight-cylindrical shank.
Install in a drill press, CNC machining center, or hand-held drill motor with a collet or chuck rated for the 1.32 mm shank diameter. Secure the shank fully before operation to prevent runout at this small diameter. Given the bit diameter, use the lowest feed pressure practical to avoid breakage. No coolant-through capability is present on this bit; use external mist or dry-cutting technique appropriate to the workpiece material.
