The GUHRING 9006600013000 is a cobalt micro drill bit engineered for precision drilling in demanding materials. Built to DIN 1899 standards, this Series 660 bit features a 0.0512-inch diameter, a 118-degree faceted point, and a titanium nitride (TiN) coating for extended tool life and reduced heat buildup. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 1.50 mm in diameter, and the overall length is 0.984 inches. A spiral flute with regular spiral type and web-thinned, tapered web geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation in tight bore conditions. This bit is sized for precision metalworking and is handled by machinists and tooling professionals working in production or maintenance environments.
The 9006600013000 is rated for use in aluminum and aluminum alloys as its primary workpiece material, with titanium alloys as the secondary workpiece material. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports a maximum drilling depth of 0.258 inches (6.55 mm). This makes it suitable for precision component fabrication, aerospace part machining, medical device manufacturing, and other applications where tight tolerances and small-diameter bores are required. The right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional CNC and manual spindle setups. No coolant-through capability means external flood or mist coolant should be used when drilling deeper or harder stock.
Designed for use in standard straight-shank micro drill chuck systems. Rated for aluminum alloys (material code K, M, N, P) as primary workpiece material and titanium alloys (material code S) as secondary workpiece material per Series 660 application guidelines.
Installation and use of this micro drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with micro-diameter tooling. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank in a precision collet or micro drill chuck rated for the shank diameter before use. Verify spindle runout is within acceptable limits for micro-diameter tooling, as excessive runout will cause premature breakage at this diameter. Because this bit does not support coolant-through, apply external flood or mist coolant and use appropriate peck-drilling cycles to clear chips and manage heat when drilling deeper features.
