Built to DIN 1897 standards, it features a 0.2902-inch diameter with a parabolic flute geometry and a 130-degree split point that reduces walking and lowers thrust on entry. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 0.2902 inches in diameter and 1.5748 inches in length, fitting standard drill chucks without adapters. Web thinning with a parallel web configuration reduces cutting resistance in tough materials. This bit is rated for heavy-duty use and is the correct tool when a standard jobber-length bit lacks the rigidity required for close-tolerance work in hard alloys.
This drill bit is designed for machining titanium alloy and similarly hard workpiece materials where a shorter flute length provides added stiffness and reduced deflection. With a maximum drilling depth of 0.9040 inches (22.95 mm) and a 3xD flute-to-diameter ratio, it suits CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual operations in production or maintenance environments.
