The GUHRING 9006520091300 is a jobber length twist drill bit designed for precision hole-making in metal and general-purpose applications. Built from high-speed steel (HSS) with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, this bit delivers extended tool life and reduced friction at the cutting edge. It features a 130-degree split point for fast penetration and reduced walking on entry. The parabolic flute geometry improves chip evacuation in deeper holes. At 4-29/32 inches overall length with a 23/64-inch diameter, it fits standard drill chucks and drill presses used in production and maintenance work. Series 652 is a high-performance grade bit manufactured to DIN 338 standards.
This bit is rated for use on aluminum as its primary workpiece material, with material codes K, N, and P indicating suitability across non-ferrous metals and some plastics. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports drilling to a maximum depth of 2.65 inches (67.31 mm) in a single pass without peck cycles in favorable conditions. It is sized for use in machine tool spindles, drill presses, and hand-held power drills. Machinists, tool-and-die technicians, HVAC and plumbing fabricators, and maintenance trades will find this a reliable straight-shank jobber drill for everyday production use.
Designed as an OEM-style jobber length drill bit compatible with standard straight-shank drill chucks on benchtop drill presses, CNC drilling centers, and hand-held power drills accepting 23/64-inch shanks.
Installation of this bit requires a chuck or collet rated for straight-shank tooling at the 23/64-inch diameter. Secure the shank fully and verify runout before drilling production parts. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing tooling. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant for the workpiece material when drilling at depth to prevent heat buildup and premature edge wear.
