The GUHRING 9006520054100 is a jobber length drill bit in wire gauge size 3 (0.2130 inches decimal), manufactured from high speed steel with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating. It features a 130-degree split point, parabolic flute geometry, and a web-thinned, tapered web configuration that reduces thrust and improves chip evacuation. The overall length is 3-21/32 inches with a 2-1/4 inch flute length and a straight-cylindrical shank of 0.2130 inches diameter. Conforming to DIN 338, this is a high-performance grade bit suited for production and maintenance drilling applications. It is installed and used by machinists, tool-and-die tradespeople, and field technicians requiring precision hole quality.
This bit is rated for primary use in aluminum and non-ferrous materials, as indicated by workpiece material codes K, N, and P. The parabolic flute profile promotes fast chip clearing in these softer materials, reducing heat buildup and improving hole finish. The TiN coating extends tool life by increasing surface hardness and reducing friction. With a maximum drilling depth of 1.925 inches (48.89 mm) and a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio, it is well suited for through-hole and moderate-depth drilling in manufacturing, fabrication, and mechanical service environments.
Designed as an OEM-grade replacement or direct-use drill bit conforming to DIN 338 standards, compatible with any standard drill chuck or drill press accepting a 0.2130-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material compatibility is rated for aluminum and non-ferrous materials per material codes K, N, and P.
Install in a keyed or keyless drill chuck rated for the shank diameter and ensure the chuck is fully tightened before operation. Power down the drill press or disconnect the cordless tool battery before changing bits. Use appropriate cutting fluid or lubricant when drilling aluminum to manage heat and extend tool life. Inspect the cutting edges for wear or chipping before each use and replace the bit if the TiN coating is worn through at the cutting edge.
