The GUHRING 9006520033000 is a jobber length twist drill bit designed for precise hole-making in a range of workpiece materials. Built from high speed steel with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, it offers improved surface hardness and wear resistance compared to uncoated HSS tooling. The bit measures 3.3 mm (0.1299 inches) in diameter with an overall length of 2-9/16 inches. A parabolic flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation, and a 130-degree point angle provides a self-centering entry well suited to the primary target materials. Web thinning at the tip reduces thrust requirements and helps maintain drill accuracy through the cut.
This drill bit is rated for use in aluminum and non-ferrous materials, as well as plastics and low-alloy steels, consistent with its K, N, and P workpiece material codes under the DIN classification system. It is a high-performance Series 652 tool conforming to DIN 338, making it a standard jobber-length format recognized across CNC machining centers, drill presses, and hand-held power tools in production and maintenance environments. Machinists, tool and die technicians, and maintenance trades working with aluminum fabrications or light-metal assemblies are the typical users.
Designed as a DIN 338 jobber length replacement or stocking bit for use in standard drill chucks accepting a 0.1299-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Optimized for aluminum (K), non-ferrous metals (N), and plastics or low-alloy steels (P) per DIN workpiece material classification.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified machinist or maintenance technician familiar with rotating cutting tools. Ensure the drill chuck is fully tightened and the workpiece is securely clamped or fixtured before operation. Do not exceed the rated maximum drilling depth of 1.22 inches in a single pass without retracting to clear chips, particularly in aluminum. Inspect the cutting edge and TiN coating for wear before each use and replace the bit if chipping or coating breakdown is observed.
