The GUHRING 9006520030000 is a jobber length drill bit designed for precision drilling in metalworking and machining applications. Built from high-speed steel (HSS) with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, this bit offers improved wear resistance and longer service life compared to uncoated HSS tooling. It features a 3 mm diameter, a 130-degree split point, and a parabolic flute geometry that promotes efficient chip evacuation. The overall length is 2-13/32 inches with a flute length of 1-5/16 inches. It conforms to DIN 338 standards and is classified as a high-performance grade bit. Machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and maintenance professionals working with light alloys and general-purpose metals will find this a dependable everyday drilling tool.
This drill bit is rated for use in aluminum and similar non-ferrous and ferrous workpiece materials, making it well suited for production machining, MRO drilling, and fabrication environments. The parabolic flute design handles chip load efficiently at higher feed rates, reducing the need for peck drilling in many setups. The straight-cylindrical shank seats securely in standard drill chucks, CNC machining centers, and drill presses. Maximum drilling depth is 1.12 inches (28.50 mm), keeping it appropriate for typical through-hole and shallow blind-hole operations in the 3 mm size range.
Designed as a DIN 338-compliant jobber length drill bit for use with standard 3-flute and keyless drill chucks, CNC machining centers, and benchtop drill presses. Primary workpiece material rating covers aluminum and general-purpose metals per material codes K, N, and P.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with cutting tool setup and machine operation. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Verify chuck grip is secure and shank is fully seated before beginning any drilling operation. Consult machine and tooling manufacturer guidelines for appropriate spindle speeds and feed rates for the workpiece material.
