The GUHRING 9006520025800 is a jobber-length drill bit designed for precision drilling in metal fabrication, machining, and general industrial applications. Built from high-speed steel with a titanium nitride coating, this bit runs at higher surface speeds and delivers extended tool life compared to uncoated HSS tooling. It is sized to wire gauge No. 38, equal to 0.1015 inches in decimal, with a 130-degree split point for fast penetration and reduced walking on entry. The parabolic flute geometry improves chip evacuation, making it well suited for deeper holes and gummy materials. The straight-cylindrical shank mounts directly in standard drill chucks without adapters.
This drill bit is rated for primary use in aluminum and non-ferrous materials, as indicated by the K, N, and P workpiece material codes. It is equally at home in light-duty ferrous applications where a TiN-coated HSS bit is appropriate. Machinists, tool-and-die workers, maintenance technicians, and HVAC or electrical tradespeople who need small-diameter precision holes in sheet metal or structural aluminum will find this size useful. It conforms to DIN 338 standards, making it a direct fit where metric-certified tooling is specified.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard jobber-length drill for use in any drill press, CNC machining center, or handheld drill accepting a straight-cylindrical shank in the 0.1015-inch diameter range.
Installation is performed by machinists or qualified maintenance technicians. Secure the shank fully in the chuck and verify concentricity before running at speed. For aluminum and non-ferrous stock, use an appropriate cutting fluid or mist coolant to manage heat even though this bit has no coolant-through capability. Inspect the cutting edge for wear or chipping before each use, and replace before the TiN coating is fully worn through to avoid work-hardening the workpiece surface.
